338 Norma Reloading Data

I'm using RS LRT powder. This load is with:
102.5gr RS LRT
250 gr Berger EH
FED 215
New Lapua brass

These were shot at 200 yds. Just trying to figure out where to go from here. These are running about 2980fps. The numbers in the groups are CBTO and the numbers outside are group size. Any help would be much appreciated.

Before I shoot groups I like to dry fire on the target to check rifle hold/ cross hairs at time of trigger drop, usually do it enough so I know I am calm… but there are people on here that forgot more than I know! 👍🤝🇺🇸🍺💪

I appreciate it, I'll load up a few more of the same load and try it again. Just thought it was weird that the other two were similar and progressively smaller groups. Everything I've done so far shows that this load likes a fair amount of jump. Just trying to get some outside perspective.

Cody,

I might have missed it. What twist rate are you running?

I'm running a 26" 1:9.4"
The badlands 275 grain Super Bulldozer 2's call for a 1:9 twist, but I am shooting 1/2 MOA groups at 300 with them in my 26" 1:9.3.

I've got my hunting load slow and accurate around 2750fps with H1000.

I had the 250 badlands Dozers around the speed you're getting right now with the Berger's, using H1000.

I've got a pile of load data that might give you a starting point.

Drop me a PM and when I get back at the end of the month I can send some your way.

I can help you with that problem! It might take me a couple of days to get up there but I can certainly try!:D;)

Yes, Re-26 will work in the 338 Norma Mag and the one of the 250 gr. Bergers. You can get close to a nearly full case but start low and work up slowly watching for signs of pressure.

:)
What distance are you jumping the 250 gr Berger in the 338 Norma?

I have some 250's to try in mine whenever I get to it. I mocked them up in a modified case and it looked like I would have to jump them quite a bit if I wanted full neck engagement.

Thought I would share my data with the group.
Desert Tech 338 Norma Mag w/surefire suppressor
26" factory barrel 1 in 10" twist
Hornady 285 ELD-M
91.0gr N570
CBTO 2.746"
.095" off the lands
2,780 FPS
1/4" MOA groups at distances to 1,000; 1/3-1/2" MOA groups at 1,500 yards
This is a very solid/stable shooting load in this rifle. One of the most consistent I've ever loaded time and time again, very repeatable. Sight in is 100 yards. My first shot today on 1,500 yard target nailed the bullseye with 50.25 MOA elevation and 4 MOA hold for the crosswind.
