Lapua is putting all their resources into the Ukraine debacle.Lapua vs Peterson brass?
What velocity are you seeing with that load? I see Birchwood is in good shape.Just out verifying my 300 grain Berger OTM load before next weekends 1000 yard shindig.
26", 1:9.3 Bartlein tube.

It's not going very fast. I was only getting an average of 2730 on the LabRadar. What velocity are you seeing with that load? I see Birchwood is in good shape.
I never worked up to pressure once I had it shooting decent. I've used this load at 1000 yards for our club events and it still performs.@SheepShapeAK; do you mind me asking about where you started seeing pressure with the 300 Berger? Any chance you tested for pressure with Retumbo and H1000?
Dang. With that setup I bet you could hit 3000 fps. Thanks for the replies CodyMac and SheepShape.
I'm just trying to get an idea of about where the cutoff should be. My 338 Norma is an improved design so I know I can get more than standard out of it but I don't want to push too hard. My action is very robust at 1.45" diameter, .800 bolt with huge lugs and barrel tenon is 1.35" so I'll probably be in the 80k plus range before seeing pressure signs at all. I'm thinking if I hit about 2900 fps with the 300 grain Berger that's plenty of steam while still well below any danger zone
That Sir, is no slouch. It's not going very fast. I was only getting an average of 2730 on the LabRadar.
