    I just had to replace the battery in my calipers. While we are on caliper tropics I just realized that if we made thinner for caliper bullets we could make them longer for caliper without increasing bullet weight.     Could try RL17. I get good speeds with 129 grn Hornady bullets in a 20" barrel. Right around 2800 fps.

    I use a 110 vmax in a 3000 win mag for the exact opposite reason. It really blows them up. A fmg or solid copper should cause less damage.

    I have a Jp Recoil eliminator on my 300wm. No more muzzle jump and kicks about like my unbraked. 243. Looks funny, but sure works.

    Not trying to be a ***** but if you really want a lr varmint cartridge there are many better than 6.5 Creed.

    Your thread doesn't really make sense but if you want to pursue it you need to define some parameters. Do you want high velocity varmint rounds or do you want long rang high bc rounds? The chipmunks take quite a bit to become squirrels.

    If you are varmint hunting and going for speed use Hornady brass. It has more case capacity. Lapua is more consistent but not a big deal for varmints.

    Learn to shoot both at the same time. That should double your chances of hitting something. Right?....Right?

    Hornady makes both a 95 gen Bt Vmax and a 100 gen Eldm. I'm sure the Vmax would blow up varmints nicely.
