anyone here have any decent loads for the 130 grain Sierra TMK in 6.5 Creedmoor? I want to get the bullet to at least 2750 FPS. I have a factory Seekins Precision AR 10 with a 22" Barrel, and I can only get 140 grain bullets to 2600 before I see pressure signs. I figure a 130 grain TMK at 2740 will do a bit better. I have federal match primers and some Superformace powder on hand

Thoughts?

Thanks for your time

What powder have you used? I have a 24" barrel and am getting 2860 using H4350...seems like low velocity but it may be the powder you are using or could just be the rifle.

I get 2,860 ft/sec with a 135gr Berger over 47 gr of RE26 in a SRP Lapua case, fired from a 26" bbl. There is probably still some room for increased velocity but the load shoots so well at 400 yds that I never bothered with heavier charges.

I will try that next, I am testing Peterson brass and superformace powder today

RL17 was on my list, thanks for the info. When they have it in stock around here I will pick some up

Thank you

I had pressure signs on the last one so I did not shoot the last string. My velocities were 200 FPS faster than what the hornady book said. I was using Peterson brass this time around as opposed to the hornady that I used with the 140s and H4350. The high pressure group was the best.
