You all are ridiculous... wolves and deer were here long before humans. Pretty amazing we're the ones that make the greatest impacts on the balance of wildlife, but choose to blame lesser beings. Smh...

This is an interesting thread that has been pretty entertaining and extremelly informative. Down here in AZ we don't have a wolf issue yet. Some Mexican Gray wolves were reintroduced in a Arizona a couple decades ago, 11 of them and 7 years ago was tought to be about 60, and double that 3 years ago so they are slowly coming back supposedly from what I've read.

I saw one about 13 years ago in Mexico about 50 miles south of the border, they are larger and more muscular than a coyote, easy to tell the difference. Some ranchers down there will reward you for taking them out along with mountain lions, although it's ilegal to kill them both.

We're also the reason everything is out of balance as we encroach deeper into the depths of the environment that they live. But, because we have, many changes are necessary to insure that a viable population is retained for future generations. Reintroducing predators back into to areas that were long void of them and expecting a different outcome that required removing them earlier is lunacy.
Yes, ranchers, farmers and people who were trying to survive living in their environment got rid of them initially. They did to protect their lives and livelihoods. Now it's happening again because of misguided people.
I live where they were replaced after decades of absence. They are stealthy and invisible to most who live here but, the carnage they leave behind in their tracks is frightening and gut wrenching.
Be honest about where the blame lies today and tomorrow. Yesterday's nothing but history. To think less is ridiculous!

Tell that to the North American Bison, Woodland Caibou, Giant Sea Bass, California Condor and Bumble bee.

We have made their territories smaller so they have to be managed or would you rather reduce the human population
You can bet I'm not blaming a lesser animal that's ridiculous to even suggest that

Nature has a way of taking care of it's self, the whole planet cycles. If the wolf should disappear, so what? I have stomped around the west all my life and have yet to see a Sabertooth tiger, a mastodon or a t-rex. Has not changed my life a bit... Maybe there are folks who think they should have been protected as well. The only thing that won't change is change. As a species, we are pretty self centered to think that we control this planet. It's a shame that common sense, reasoning, and logic has become extinct...

carl1775 With that sentiment I suppose you would have to be against cutting any trees down they were here before us. Cutting them down could arguably "make the greatest impacts on the balance of wildlife"
I could not even imagine life without wood products.
Just the thought of how to wipe my a#$ baffles me.

Looks like a dog. German Shepard/Akita mix. I'm curios about the black soot looking stuff an the ground and it kinda also looks like it could've been road kill. "head scratch'r"

Well, sir, humans and dinosaurs are about 1.5 million years apart. So, that answers that. As far as the tree dilemma, no. Cut what is resourceful and can be manged. The exact same as animals. And yes, some humans need to managed as well. Common sense, reasoning and logic, have all seemed to escape you.

If you want to count only "Jurassic Park" dinosaurs, we're about 50 million years removed.
