What's your elk rifle?

RHC, just picked up my .350 last month. I love it! Have not found a load yet that really shoots great, but it is hunting good (1 1/2") They had a used 673 in a .350 at a local gun shop that was mint for @ $600. If your interested let me know i will do the leg work for you.

Probably can't swing the money right now (building an F class rig). If I Have some left over cash after, I'll take a look into it if its still available.

Nothing fancy...Remington 700 re-barelled to 300 Weatherby mag in a Bell & Carlson medalist stock with a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20x scope.

Pretty sensible given elk can be hunted sea level to mountain meadow, rain forest to desert, in all kinds of extreme weather.
 
i have a few that i have used on elk over the yrs and all have done the job just fine.

rem model 722 chambered in 257 roberts loaded with 85 gr. barnes X
rem model 700 chambered in 6.5-284 loaded with 130 scirocco or 140 partition
ultra light arms chambered in wildcat 30 rem necked up to 35 with 180 TTSX

then i also have a few that i plan on using on elk. might even get a chance to try 1 of them this yr :D

ultra light arms chambered in 416 express
ultra light arms chambered in 25x47 loaded with 80 gr ttsx
 
I have an old Tikka Whitetail Hunter in 300WM; love the stock and the trigger too. Low cost Nikon Buckmaster 4-12x50. Berger 175's get the job done. My target rifles are a different story!

Dont remember if i have posted or not so here goes...i havent gone elk hunting yet but when i do it will either be a montana 1999 xwr 300 win with a vortex viper hs lr 4-16x44 shooting 180 sst at 3150 or a tikka lite 300 wsm vortex viper hs 4-16x50 shootin 165 trophy copper at 3150.
