You better stop touching bullets and reloading components 🙄🤮

Book smarts and street smarts are 2 different things ---- just look at the way engineers design things--- they are miraculous contraptions - until it's time to fix them
ROI needs to be as maximized; that isn't decided by engineers, it is decided by their bosses.

I've stopped myself from saying this since this thread first started…..but, self-control is not my "strong suit"!

I believe that much of the "fear mongering" pertaining to lead is bull đź’©.

I'm now 72 yo…….I've been carrying around a .177 caliber Benjamin Air Rifle pellet in my lung since I was 10 years old. I ran several sub 3 hour marathons while in my late 20's. I've consumed more than a few shotgun pellets when eating squirrels, rabbits, and birds.

I started casting bullets for my handguns when I was about 18 yo. Casting was/is likely one of the most dangerous things you can do pertaining to the effects of lead…..but, even in the early '70's there was written caution warnings pertaining to breathing fumes from the lead casting pot.

Though my wife may disagree…..so far, I've not suffered any debilitating effects. memtb

Even more interesting was the news footage showing homes that were literally feet from the surf that burned to the ground, one after another.
I would think that they would have had setups to pump from the ocean to a set up on the roofs to sprinkle the roofs for fire protection. Something that could have deploy if needed. That way I think they could have gotten around the rules or laws. The only thing is they were probably in on vacation somewhere else. Sometime a litte planning goes a long ways. Just like not having generators to power up the lift station to fill the storage tanks with.
Even on the small water district that I was on the board with had them and from the start of the water district in the early 60's. I was kid then, but they still had one at that time. they shifted one over to Propane until natural gas pipe line was put in. We still had a system to switch from N.Gas to Propane just in case natural gas failed.
I had wondered where the bulldozers were at. They passed laws so they were not allowed to use they. Another "Stupid is" idea.
