You better stop touching bullets and reloading components 🙄🤮

This sums it up!

Beaver pelts were shaved of their hair, not tanned, and that hair was then subjected to heat and pressure to make felt, the felt was used to make hats and other felt items. They used mercury to provide the pressure in the early 1800s, and mercury transpires (evaporates) into the air if exposed to air, even at room temp. You have to cover it with water to keep it from evaporating. Much faster evaporation if heated. So hat makers (hatters) had mercury poisoning, and the hats were probably not very good for you either. Same with Hudson's Bay Company and other wool blankets, they are a wool felt. Same with felt cowboy hats. But I doubt that modern felts have a mercury weight in the process any more....

The article stated that IQs went up after lead was removed from gasoline. Someone needs to explain my grandson and all of his friends. In fact most of his generation.
Book smarts and street smarts are 2 different things ---- just look at the way engineers design things--- they are miraculous contraptions - until it's time to fix them

That's where "mad as a hatter" came from.

This lead thing is what the anti's have grabbed onto as their next great argument against hunting, guns and anything with which they don't want to see anyone do! There is a danger of too much lead exposure but that's WAY - WAY above what any of us old timers (I'm 78) have experienced! Part of the anti agenda is to make it more and more difficult and more and more expensive to hunt and shoot guns! Mandating no lead bullets is part of that agenda! You want to hunt with mono bullets, that's up to you and I've done it myself -- but don't help the anti's achieve their agenda with their stretch of the facts and half truths -- unless you don't mind being exposed and called names by people like me!

They are here. Why water rates went up. To pay for the contractors . Where I used to live they were replacing polybutalene water pipes with copper for free because of the crimps they used and insurance claims filed. I got my whole house plumbing replaced because of it. For free. All I had to do is patch up drywall under sink in bathrooms and by water heater in garage. I had one hot water pipe burst in attic above dining room. Glad I didn't have to pay for full copper replacement. If you had already replaced, the state reimbursed you.it was a class action suit that was won.
