I was surprised at this increase. Anybody else? Elk are indeed tough!

Last few trips to Wyoming, we saw increasing numbers of elk and decreasing numbers of mule deer and antelope. This was before the big freeze. Seemed like elk were pushing way the mule deer.

Yeah, I feel that way sometimes when Frank In The Laurels posts his pictures of some of the elk we have here in PA.

The elk came through much better than pronghorn and deer. Especially in the eastern half of the state.

I saw that also. A surprise to me.
I believe this is a statistical conclusion.
WY does not have mandatory harvest reporting. The article read like it was fact.
