You think there's 140k people buying moose and sheep points every year just because? No wonder you guys never draw your own tagsyou don't have too apply too buy a point there bud!
The hunting where I live would be sooo much better if this were the case. But I will admit there are a lot of legitimate reasons why this can't and won't happen.....Hunting has become all business. No one should be able to get a tag for anything outside their county of residence.
That would take care of all this nonsense.

Wyoming has no state income tax, has some of the lowest property and luxury taxes to boot. Here's the gripe I have with NR talking about how much money they spend going out of state hunting, how much do you think I spend a year in state income taxes, property taxes etc.
Without totalling it up easily 100,000 just in state income tax alone in the 30 years ive lived in Montana.
Not for game they never intend to huntI always love a great laugh when I come on here!!! you do know that probably 90% of all residents and NR buy points for years before even applying for a hard too get tag.... RIGHT?? ...
I wasn't talking about wyoming. Its the same arguement though about NR vrs Res. in MontanaWyoming has no state income tax, has some of the lowest property and luxury taxes to boot.
Wyomings budget and economy, tourism and extraction, is largely subsidized federally and in The case of extraction often on federal land...
"However, the state's continued reliance on federal funding could potentially create problems in the future. Over the past several years, Wyoming has cut state spending in order to balance its budget. At the same time, it has neglected to find ways to diversify its revenue streams outside of its longstanding reliance on energy, leading to talk of future budget cuts and Gov. Mark Gordon proposing a thorough re-examination of the state's tax structure."
Throughout the past 20 years, Wyoming has counted shares between roughly 33.5 percent (2015) and 48 percent (2003) of its revenues from federal dollars, outpacing the national average by 7 percent since 2000."
