Come on Brent, that photo looks like a good story……we are waiting! 👍🤝🍺🇺🇸💪 Brent is our Idaho wolf killing stud! Modern day Ben Lilly on wolves 😉👍🤝🇺🇸
Lmao. I was archery hunting elk and ran into massive amounts of wolf sign. They were moving at night and bedding at first light. I wasn't able to figure out a good plan because they refused to respond to calls…. Until I switched plans. I decided to stop elk hunting and just wolf hunt. Which meant I was packing my rifle and mind set was locked on to wolf hunting mode. All it took was a pup in distress call and they howled from this basin. I moved around until I could glass into it and holy crap there they were. Got 400 above and set up. Killed 3.

Well done Brent, that is a good hunt. 400 yards is a great yardage for killing multiples as you well proved! 👍🤝🍺🇺🇸👌Able to kill an adult male? Could you watch long enough to pick out the dominant pair?
The alpha male was hidden alone behind a tree. The alpha female was to the left out of sight of the scope. It's getting late and started to snow and the wind began to swirl. Honesty I screwed up big time. If I had held my spot longer I could have killed 2 more. I howled and distress called but wasn't patient enough. Thinking they were gone and started to move down and 2 came to where I shot from to collect the missing pack members. They got my scent. I was not happy with myself

Brent your a wealth of knowledge for us pilgrims, I enjoy everyone of your posts, wolves, loads you name it, lots of experience. Thank you! Sounds
like those alphas are very cautious.
Yes sir. They are very smart and me not so much. I've gotten a few alphas but unless you have time to really study them it's not always easy to pick them out. Most hunts things happen really fast and being picky results in an empty backpack. Ask me how I know…..
