Harvest has been extremely low across the state and they have extended it before. Any guesses if there will be extensions in non-shoulder season districts?
Good question! Been very nice weather, almost too nice, but that shouldn't hurt the harvest. Why has harvest been low??? Just certain areas? Ive got friends that just got back and they killed 7 bulls..

Thats not good to hearGood question! Been very nice weather, almost too nice, but that shouldn't hurt the harvest.
Yet you have way more elk and deer then most other states. Im with you, things need to change. But you have way more opportunities to actually kill a decent animal without waiting 23 years to do so. I feel like every western state could be managed better.. but once you do.. then everyone starts crying about lack of tags and notthe right dates blah blah..Let's talk then…how long are your seasons? Ours are way too long, can literally hunt elk from august to February. They let us hunt the rut so everything with a horn on its head gets killed. We give out thousands of none resident B tags for both deer and elk. Every swinging dick with deep pockets is leasing up all the ranches we use to hunt and all our public ground is over crowded because FWP doesn't take in affect that with all the transplants that moved into the state are all buying resident tags now and still giving out the same ridiculous number of nonresident tags.
100%.... ODFW once told my neigjbor who called about a tag that was pretty much 100% private, yeah we sell opportunity not successThe opportunity's won't be there if they keep managing like they are now. It's all about the $$$ for fwp but when the animals run out so will the money.
^^^^^ And Washington! When you have it as bad as oregon.. come talk to me lol
