Nice bull congrats what broadheads are you using

Sevr 1.5". It destroyed him. Massive entrance hole and big wound channel to the hide on opposite side. Did not exit. I was surprised at the damage. First time I've shot them. A buddy said they were good on Elk.

New Mexico was a bunch of fun. This Bull came to water and offered a 35 yard broadside shot and I was fortunate enough to see him tip over after a 90 yard run. They weren't talking at all. I hate to sit water, but it's about the only option I had. It worked.

I am not sure how but Drew a AZ Rifle, Late Elk tag for unit 27. Pretty stoked on it

Why not apply for areas that you will draw? Or hunt general?

We love the area that we applied for! We can fall back on a General if we decide to hunt, which at this point looks doubtful …..lots of things getting in the way of the hunt! memtb

I was lucky to harvest this guy in Arizona was hard quartered away at 35 yards and made a perfect shot threw lungs and and buried into opposite front shoulder bone he only went 30 yards

Heading to MT for a general elk hunt in about 6 weeks. Struck out on elk last year, so the freezer only has a few deer roasts left.

Got it done on the 3rd day of the season after 2 days scouting. Would have let more pass but the pressure was pushing them everywhere.

No elk hunting this yr. I drew a CO Bull tag in my 22nd yr of applying. For a Bull Moose, in a big trophy unit.

Nice!! I've been at it for 26 yrs now with still no success. What unit?
