We're still limping along. I just want to let everyone know what's going on with Wildcat Bullets.
7mm 200gr. ULD RBBT's
At the moment there's a stand still with the 7mm 200gr RBBT ULD's. I had a problem with folding ogives from the last lot of jackets I got in but am happy to report that issue is fixed. In the mean time, I sent my dies in to get polished and haven't got them back yet. I'd like to get all back orders caught up on the 7mm's before we start selling the 270 169.5's but I need to pay some bills so these might be available before the 7mm orders are all sent out.
270 169.5 ULD RBBT's
These will be available soon. Even sooner if I don't get the 7mm dies back quickly. These are shooting very well and I plan on using them this hunting season. We are also working on getting the 180's, 190,'s and 195 out. Still having some dusting problems with these. Frustrating.
30 cals 247's and 210gr. AT ULD RBBT's.
Will be up after the 270's. I've been shooting some 247gr and 210gr. Aluminum Tipped ULD RBBT's in a 300 RUM with very promising results.
264's 152gr, 162gr and 156gr ULD RBBT's
are good to go after that. My daughter will be hunting deer with the 152gr ULD RBBT's in a 6.5x284.
338 and larger
Jackets are still very hard to get a hold of for these bigger calibers. We have ordered the equipment to make our own over a year ago. I'm really not sure when I'll get it in. I'm also trying to get a steady supply from a major manufacturer, and while this avenue looks promising, I'm not sure when I actually get them in either. Butch Hairfield has some new equipment that will greatly speed up his production once he gets it up and running. Once that happens I'm hoping that the jacket issues will be a thing of the past.
Poly tips
I'm in the process of having injection molds made. We'll see how it goes. In additon to more uniform meplates, these should allow the use of thicker jackets for higher velocity tolerance while delivering acceptable expansion at lower velocities.
Shipping to Canada
Found a new exporter that is WAY cheaper. His fees are only $25 in addtion to shipping costs. The old one was $300. So orders to Canada will be a lot more reasonable.
Website
This should have been finished a long time ago. I have too many irons in the fire. Once I get caught up with orders, I'll finish the website.
Slow production Rate
I feel bad about the VERY SLOW delivery times. I'm a one man show who also has another full time job (hopefully not for long). I'm trying to move to a commercial location so I can hire and speed things up.
