why not 338 rum instead of lapua

I took his comment to mean that the Lapua is a more suited to being built with a larger action rather than something with the same dimensions of a standard 700 action.

Thats what I meant, but the brass is way better and you can get a lot more velocity with the brass lasting. Matt

i was looking the remington 700 tact xcr in 338 lapua
Or the
700 in xcr in 338 rum mag. I was thinking they would both work fine while waiting on barrels and stock money
