Had two of the large rifle primers fail yesterday in two different cartridges in two different rifles. This is from the same batch as my quoted post above. Maybe a bad lot. These guys are about 40 minutes from me. I was given a couple thousand to test velocity numbers. I've only ran some large rifle in a .308. The very first one failed to ignite, unsuccessfully tried it in a couple rifles to see if it would go off. Have since fired a couple hundred more afterwards with good results.
And I fear it doesn't matter who is president or what's happening around the world for that matter when it comes to this, I don't think prices are ever coming down now. At 32 I feel old haha, because I can shoot the breeze at the gun counter with actual old guys about "the good old days" regarding powder and primers haha.I picked up 200 lrp at local sportsman's wearhouse they also had magnum primers.
11.00 Dollars for 100.
It's way over priced but I figured better to have them if Kamala was president
Haven't tried them out yet.
The primer availability is getting better around me but the prices are ridiculous.
Definitely a snug fit.My understanding they are slightly larger in diameter which might be nice fir thise who push loads.
A couple days back I tried to seat some in new .300 RUM cases and they fell out. More than likely it's the brass…Remington of course. I didn't check any other primers in that brass, just said "Nope, not in the mood for this sheet today!" and walked away.My understanding they are slightly larger in diameter which might be nice fir thise who push loads.
