Which Cartridge for each caliber?

The results are very interesting with some surprises (at least for me). I was surprised with the number of people who picked a 270 wsm. I personally love the cartridge and as far as hunting it is one of my favorites. It seems to hit harder than it should. I did not expect that many people to pick it.

It appears that you are correct in the assumption that I am way too practical. Seems to be an issue here where everyone seems to be out in some form of fantasy land. I try to look at things realistically. So be it...that may be the old blonde coming out.

Perfectly practical.

Kinda along the same lines why a bunch of my list can be formed from the same brass. Whittled down, there isn't much hunting in North America that can't be accomplished with these three: 25-06, 30-06, 35 Whelen. It took a few decades, but the practical side of my brain finally took over….
