Which brand of 300 win mag

There are so many fine rifles, it is hard to go wrong. I am a Winchester M70 and Weatherby MK5 person. Those are the only hunting rfile brands I have and love all. My son has an old Remington 700 and he likes it. It is like are you a ford, chevy or doge person. So many nice ones to choose. Just make sure the twist rate will handle the bullet you want to shoot. Nothing slower than 1-10 I would say. MHO.

Winchester's newest M-70 French Walnut if not that one of the others M-70's would work. Yep, it'll be a little more than $1300.00 but I say it's worth it in the end. 🤔 👍

I second the Model 70. The Browning Hell's Canyon is good, but the claw extractor on the Model 70 and 3 position safety are the best in the industry, and have been for years. I recently picked up an Extreme Tungsten in 300 win mag myself. 26" barrel, muzzle brake, 1 in 10 twist, Tungsten Cerakote. If you prefer stainless they have that too. And it is in your price range. The Model 70's come in at 7 lbs. 4 oz, without scope. My Extreme Tungsten comes in at 9lb. 7oz. with a Nightforce 3-15x50 and Nightforce rings and mount.

But honestly, any of the above (Browning, Tikka, Bergera) will also work just fine, and if you do your part, you'll come home with meat!

I have a browning X bolt and Tikka. Both are great off the shelf rifles that deliver on MOA. Stock on Tikka is cheap but barrel and action are excellent. Browning a little better stock not much. Tikka has better trigger and Browning has muzzle brake. I hand load and both produce great hunting accuracy. Tikka has slower twist. If your able, put them up in shooting position and see which one feels better. Either choice is good. Enjoy the process!

I am looking to purchase a new 300 win mag for an upcoming elk hunt. I don't want to spend much more that $1300. I am thinking a hells canyon speed, a tikka lite, or a bergera. Thanks in advance!
Berga would be my choice. They all seem to shoot well and they stand behind their work.

I love my 300 win mag. I do not shoot the heavy bullets and still get bug hole groups with out the recoil. It is a McMillan signature built by Gail himself.

They don't seem to be talked about now, but I have a long standing love of my Sako 85s, multiple calibers, including a 300WM. Then there is the target single shot with single set trigger, which has the longest string of 3 feet, straight down shots a rifle could ask for. Not to lug through the mountains, but has banged it's way into lots of boxes and climbers in the South.

In January I purchased the Begara B14 wilderness in .300PRC just love it outstanding long range rifle with proper optics 10-40 and some time at the range if you don't hit your coyote you will definitely put the fear of God into it. Please take the time to research this new cartridge development by Hornady and then go online and compare it to the
.300 Winchester Mag. And the .338 Lupa you like many others will like this new unbelted cartridge I'm shooting 1/4 groups on a good day and I'm a senior at 500 yards the only thing I changed was I put a bigger muzzle break on it for the range and it's a must like all rifles wear hearing protection

I own a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 300 Win Mag. I have used it for elk in Colorado and Mule deer and Antelope in Montana and it has performed flawlessly. It is extremely accurate. From a performance and price point, it an awesome rifle.
