Which 6.5 to build

What 6.5 would you build , I already have 7mm saum and 300 saum 338 rum and 375rum.
Im thinking the 6.5 saum or 6.5x300 Weatherby or 6.5x47 lapua

At this point, why not just go 6.5 prc? It seems to be about as good as a 6.5 short action gets and will probably be easier to find brass for, compared to the others.

I built a 6.5prc but if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go 6.5x284 since I can find brass for that right now. I haven't found any good 6.5prc brass in many months despite being on many email lists. I'm looking for Lapua, Peterson or ADG.

.264 Win Mag 8 or 8.5 twist barrel 140 +\- gr bullets. Or standard 9 twist with 135 grain minus bullets which is ample for the hunting you described. Brass is easy even if you have to re-size 7RM brass. Get Larry Willis' belted magnum collet die too. Don't believe the "barrel burner" BS.

Inside 500 yards on smaller big game =6.5 Grendel is a great AR round but aint bad in a bolt either.
It apears you got the biggens covered!

If it was me I and max range was 500 yards I would build a 6.5x47 or 260 ai both of these are on my list of what I want to build when funds are available I don't have any custom rifles right now but from the research I've done both of these cartridges are at the top of my list. Just my two cent

I love my 260s. lots of brass available (more than 6.5 creed and prc These days) and very easy to load on that cartridge.
I have a Remington 5r gen 2 and a Tikka CTR.
I want to build a 6.5x47 one of these days too…

I'd stick with the saum sense you already have brass. Otherwise and I know it wasn't one of your choices, i like 26 nosler

I was thinking with 500 yard limit on thin skinned game maybe a 6.5x47 would fit the bill.
