It's been a long time since I slept on the beach with the spirit of ohana and my brothers. Yet waking to eat at Alvin's when a rouge wave tickled me into consciousness. Like the American Express Commercial, PRICELESS. Yet Alvin's had SPAM on the menu. Wonder when Y'all last saw that?

79. Then everything turned into Kitty Litter and Jimmy Carter radioed all the Radio Ops at Dessert One with the ABOART. Might be when Mr Peanut was still big since I last saw SPAM on a printed menu? Wonder how many Google Searches I just generated? You could Start with Operation Eagle Claw, but you will probably end up with a Tony Orlando song.

After being in the Marines eating "C" Rats out of Carboard Boxes and cutting the cans open with a P-38----A Can of SPAM was like a Filet Mignon. Our boxes were marked "1943" and we were eating in the early 1970s! Yep in the Marines we always got everything leftover from other Branches of Services.
BUTTT I still LIKE SPAM. Fry it up in slices till it browns and have with over easy eggs and Rye Bread Toast and some Hash Browns.

I always have a few cans of SPAM in the Pantry.

I have a p38 and the larger variant P51 on every key ring I have. I use them all the time. The P 51 will make you throw the 38 away.
Spam. Love the congealed grease/fat left in the pan after frying it. Use that to cook the scrambled eggs with then put it between two pieces of bread with cheese and Dukes Mayonnaise on board. That'll keep your coat shiny and help keep your shed hanging over your Dickey-doo.

Spam as a kid SUCKED. I felt no need to eat it as a adult. Now homemade smoked pork roll just mouthwatering, seared with egg, cheese and muffin. Sear it and use in veg soup and many other dishes like macaroni and cheese, etc. I like it with a little mustard on bread. SPAM has nothing on a good pork roll. Except it's in a Can. Sea rations weren't that bad. I actually like them more than MREs. MOREs were quite good. But only got to try those one time while in the Army. Being a M1A1 tanker we would take a Coleman stove, eggs, bacon, taters with us to the field. And make better breakfast than the rest of the Battalion were eating. Luckily for me. No one else liked Spam. Fat in a Can, lol
