Thanks! Perhaps one day I will get back to Africa. The Kudu was taken in the 80's in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The Sable was taken on a return hunt some years years later in the Chobe region of Botswana.

The good old days! wish i had hunted in the 80's Okavango Delta just incredible.

I absolutely agree—that's why I've made four trips to South Africa and am in the process of planning our fifth next year. I could say my favorite is the next one, but each one has a memory attached. I think that my favorite though was a Limpopo bushbuck shot on a night hunt. It was a gold medal animal I shot while running in tall grass, I hit it but while tracking it it hid in the grass and waited for us. It attempted to kill our dog and then attacked us. I quickly learned why many PH's call the bushbuck is one of the most dangerous animals in Africa. Many dogs have been killed and many hunters gored by them.

Just got back from Namibia a couple of weeks ago. I like the kudu myself. I also shot a oryx, blue wildebeast, impala, springbok, warthog, and a couple of jackals. I would really like to go back over there for an eland, red heartebeast, black wildebeast, and then a some nighttime jackal and hyena hunting.
