yeah thay were awsome dogs. l spent years training them. thay have pased away now. the black and White one got killed by a wild boar hunting bay dog.

Sorry I hadn't replied yet. Left out hunting Thursday and got home last night, so I've been tied up. Here's a quick recap of the action. Two whitetails sneaked by at 50' and ran off, two hours later when leaving, scared up two more does and had a tiny one sided fork horn grunting and running around looking for them at 15' from me for about five minutes. Heard a deep grunt, never saw him. Walking back out, I spotted the two that snuck by and one came home with me. 237 yards, .308 handloads, standing shot off shooting sticks. And by the sounds of them, they coyotes found the gut pile by the time I got her back to the truck. There's more to this story that involves the napping head bob that allowed the first two by, a cold night in the bed of the truck and a trip I won't forget.

Cant beat the 30 calibers. And you cant beat the 30-06 until you get into the magnums. Some will shoot flatter, some more accurate, none as versatile. Held the record for many years as the most accurate 1000 yard rifle at camp Perry. Gun arguments have been around for ever and always will be. To each their own. Just like vehicles, you will buy what you like best if you can afford it. HAPPY HOLLIDAYS TO YOU ALL! Even the 6.5 guys ha ha ha just kidding they are a good gun but cant fight the wind as good as a 30 cal. Junior isn't able to do what daddy does. Good luck hunting and be safe.

I've also been told I'm a dangerous, paranoid, "gun nut" because I once stated that if you see me, assume I'm armed.

Well hell, I mean I raise and train bird dogs, am a guide and outfitter, and have been teaching CHL and self defense for more than thirty years.

Finding me armed is about as surprising as finding a cop carrying a sidearm!
Yep! Same here. You see me, assume I'm armed. I've had my CCW since I was 21, and have carried everyday since. Too many crazies out there for me to risk not being able to protect myself or someone else that cannot protect themselves when a situation goes south.

Hey bud, I know you're a world-class trainer/kennel, but if you ever have any good pups you that don't quite fit the "bill" as a hunting dog (I know it happens occasionally), but would make a good woods companion/buddy, holler at me. I don't have much money, but they would be in a good loving home.

l dont see anything wrong with photos
You have GSP's over in Turkey? That's cool stuff man! They're the top of the line hunting dogs, IMO. Right up there with Labs, Wiemeraners, and Luellen Setters. I grew up with Labs, and had a Weimeraner. A buddy of mine has a Luellen, they have weird and quirky personalities, but are awesome gun dogs!

Mud if you ever get ready for one just let me know. Even my regular rates are geared to working families and we specialize in great hunting dogs you can enjoy living with in the off season. We've sent a couple of dozen of them to folks down in your neck of the woods over the years and they seem to get along just fine in La.

When I first visited this site, oor forum, I was referred to it due to a Google inquiry. From that day, I hovered over the topics that came up, and I wrote down the webpage address, so I could return to it. Eventually, I joined, and read, and learned about a few things that I was curious about, less then what I am experienced in. Long story short, then interest in the 7STW, popped up, then it was full attention, because it's a caliber, I hsve owned and loved since Layne, Simpson made it.
Well, then, Len Backus, actually made us a sub thread, due to the volume. What transpired after that, was quite amazing. People shared guns, loads, pics, stories, etc. What REALLY happened, was that more then a few screen names, became pm, and which ended up in actual friendships, that endure. That is real.
What I see now, is a lot of caliber bashing, and snot throwing. To each his/ her own, but when it gets personal, that's another story.
This forum, has a following, and a brain trust, like no other, but when a potential new member, reads the b.s., long before the facts, kinda makes you look away. I just hope that what brought ME to the website remains, and that the BS, dosent scare others away, including myself.
