What's A Good Bullet For Bagging DRONES?

If we go bye the horror show on telegram of people being hit by what look like hobby drones.... snoowgoose rigged turknelli shotguns and small buckshot. Although when they're being hunted seems like most folks will shoot at them with anything.

Listened to one interview and the guy's longed for the days when it was just artillery and mortars coming at him..

#6 shot would take down a drone as any imbalance in propellers will cause havoc with the drone. Choke is critical for any distance, so extra full to turkey choke will impress. We use #5 Copper plated on long range crow shots, 1 1/2 oz to 1 5/8 oz at 1300-1350 fps, and you better be using a gas operated auto to shoot this kind of load.

TSS is in another league regarding distance and pattern density, but the cost is too high for crow hunting. Drone hunting is pretty much a joke because the person would be arrested for shooting in an incorporated town/city.

Police cars may have TSS with flite control wads in the future.

It appears to me that the entire done thing quieted down when Alejandro Mayorkas found out he wasn't going to get "more funding".

Maybe there are still drones being flow at night but it seems the "White House" is no longer stirring panic.

Funny that.

Most of the shotgun forums are covering this. Current front runner is a 12ga max load of F (22cal) shot, steel or lead, at max velocity. Choke is probimatical at that size as tighter chokes tend to blow up the pattern with larger shot. Try it on paper first. Anything going into the props will bring them down. Ukraine just deployed a shotgun equiped hunter/killer drone.

Watched a video yesterday on a fiber optic drone that rocked a 14 km range. Eliminates the possibility of practical electronic jamming methods. We've got this scenario where we've simultaneously de industrialized to a country we keep making a bigger and bigger enemy.

It was an armor war, then a trench and artillery war and now a dystopian hybrid of all three. Should give is a fair idea of possible scenarios of the next round were directly involved in. Certainly has me looking at the idea of how to take put a small drone with a grenade on its belly. Fiber optics an ai end stage will require mechanical takedown.

Probably start with coyote load lead bb and work my way around other heavier lead. Found some 3 inch lead, wonder if 3.5 inch would be enough of an advantage to try.
