Good place for badger?

I'm looking for a place that has a decent badger population. My son is 9 and is deadset on shooting one. I've seen a few out towards Swan Falls, but only because they ran across the road. Any suggestions for areas in southwest Idaho would be appreciated, as would any other tips. Thanks.
It's been many years but as a kid I shot alot of badgers from pastures in NorthEast South Dakota on relative's and friends farms. Back there instead of prairie dogs they were after the plentiful "gophers". I was using a .22 with LR hollowpoints for them.

this was in the time South Dakota paid a bounty for predators.

I have a couple of them here on my farm that I would love to get rid of and I'm only 150 miles away north of Paul, but what I have seen over the years is that they are nomads and don't stay in one place for very long, here today and gone to a new location tomorrow. They moved into one of my favorite Rock chuck spots and really worked them over and left holes everywhere and then they were gone.
