What's A Good Bullet For Bagging DRONES?

#4 buck with a Full choke. You would get more distance than #7 or 8. Just remember that mounting it might be difficult :)
Might work but sometimes a too tight choke with larger shot compresses the shot to the point that it deforms it and actually cause erratic patterns. You'd have to try it in your gun first.

Best up coming time for drone hunting is new Year's Eve.
FYI for those living in New Jersey. That way if the Gubment shows up you'll know exactly who is flying them usually they like their toys in one piece and without firework burns. Seriously Beijing Biden and company don't allow Chinese balloons and drones to be messed with. It cuts into their pay offs. AAhhum I mean finances

It does not concern drones, but I was having trouble with a certain spray pilot flying over our home and property. He would fly directly over our house. He killed several nice trees and shrubs because of leakage from his spray nozzles. FFA would do nothing about it. His company laughed it off. They did fix the leaks, but he kept flyjng over our property. Finally I walked out in the yard one day with my shotgun and swung it at him when he flew over. Did not shoot, but shortly a pickup came tearing down the driveway and the company owner jumped out and started cussing and ranting about what I intended to do with the shotgun. I told him I was going to use it on him if he did not change his attitude. And, he better stop the flying over our property. That stopped the trouble.

Well, I think some of us are old enough that if you wanted to scare away a drone, just go outside and dance around naked, they'd never fly over again
I was going to try that to see if my neighbor would build a privacy fence. I should be able to get a new fence without paying for it.

I love this thread! I'm all for shooting down any drone you can hit. Chances are the operator is probably violating FAA rules anyway, so I'd just be doing them a favor by taking it out of the sky. Not to mention, as a firefighter, I've seen far too many occasions of aerial suppression efforts halted because of unauthorized drone use in the area. The only reason not to shoot one down would be if there were really a possibility of tracking it to its landing spot and then nabbing the operator. Then I'd smash the drone with the skull of the operator...............I like short feedback loops......................Sorry. Of course I would never do that.....😬

If a drone is flying around on my hunting grounds I feel a 55gr pill flying at almost 4000fps from my .243 should do the task. Varmint bullet for nuisance work. Not worried about saving whatever it hits.
