What Scope

Hi,

Seems like you have gotten lots of different scope opinions :) So my post will be a little different.

IMO a rifle does not dictate what the scope should be..but rather yet the intended utilization of the rifle AND your personal preferences should dictate what the scope should be and since you do not actually have the rifle yet we can jump in front of this beforehand to ensure you get the correct scope.

For example:
Do you prefer FFP or SFP?
Do you have any current vision issues?
What use do you see the rifle and scope doing for 90% of their task?
Square Range?
Field Range?
Hunting?
Field Competitions?
Square Range Competitions?
Do you prefer Mil/Mil, Mil/Moa, Moa/Moa?
What reticle type do you prefer?
Do you even have a preference?
Do you want illuminated reticle?
Do you want locking turrets?
Do you want zero stop?

Sincerely,
THEIS

I would avoid the vx3 for a rifle which you spent that kind of money on. It would be like putting plastic hubcaps on a Ferrari. Apologies to the Leupold fans, but I have them and dislike them.

this guy always has good unbiased reviews on optics:

Good imfo. on glasses, the exit pupil is very important to have a 5 or over for first and last light. Legal hunting hours. GO BIRDS!!!
