Mine is a 700 VS in.223. I use 52 grain Sierra Match bullets. 40 grain ballistic tips are very accurate as well.

I have 22-250s, 223, 204, 17hmr, 6bra and 6creed, used to use a 257wby with 90gr blitz kings on coyotes, awesome combo, often they wouldn't exit. A 22creed is a good option for coyotes, if ur leaning more towards lots of shooting a smaller varmints, hands down a 22br. U will have a ton of barrel life and performance. If ur shooting under 300yards the 204 is hard to beat

I run several
Rem 700 LVSF in 17 Rem
Multiple AR's in 17 Rem, 204 Ruger, .223 and 6.5 Grendel (grendel on coyotes a good bit)
Ruger 77V in 220 swift
Rem 700 in 222
Tikka T3 CTR in 223
Tikka T3 in 204
Custom in 22-243
Custom 22 Creedmoor
Custom .243
Custom 243 WSSM
The ones I use most 17 Rem and 22 Creedmoor for coyotes
We dont have many Prairie Dog I shoot mostly rock chucks and it depends on the day which rifle I take.

I've built 20-250's, 22-243's, 6-06AI, 260AI and started with a savage 204 then got into building rifles! I prefer the 20-250 or the 22-243 they do a really good job killing coyotes!

If you build a 22 creedmoor, what action do you use ?
I used a Rem 700 action w/ proof c/f barrel McMillan game warden stock and trigger tech trigger. I went with a 20in barrel so I could run my can.

There are lots of actions to choose from but I already had the 700 so I went with that.

Prairie Dogs or Coyotes, wife and I use Savage Axis's in 223 Remington with 27.1 grains of TAC behind a 40 grain Sierra Blitz King. We also have Remington 700's in 22-250, Savage in 204, and two customs in 220 Swift. Mostly the 223's are used and the others stay in the safe. One other I didn't mention above is a Winchester 70 varmint light with a laminated stock in 243. I load it with H4895 and 55 grain Blitz Kings that run over 4000 FPS. It is spectacular on Prairie Dogs sounds like a detonation when it hits.
A 243:at 4000fps? That's a hypersonic missile!

Remington 700 VSSF, 22-250, cryo treated barrel, action blueprinted and trued, scope bases and mounts got a lot of attention. Bausch & Lomb 6-24x scope. Took the bi-pod off forever!!!! I use a wide variety of other guns for fun, but the 22-250 for serious work. 17HMR, 22LR, 22Mag, 22 Hornet, .222, .223, .243, 6mm, 25-06, 50BMG, and odd balls like old cowboy or military guns. My old Ruger 10/22 Deluxe has killed more varmints than all my other guns combined.

.17HMR, .20P (40 VMAX), .22-.250 (75 ELDM), 6mmCM (87 VMAX), 6.5-06 (123 ELDM), .300WM (178 ELDM). At the moment I am "thrilled" with the 6mmCM. 87 VMAX, & 44.4 Staball, often 1-hole groups at 100, 2-inch at 300 with promises of 1/4 mile & greater hits on rodents. I have a modest supply of small primer pocket brass, Staball, & 87 VMAX bullets. Close enough performance to 6mm AI with easy to get brass.

Old 35 YO, clamp barrel .22LR, Ruger M77/22 with Douglas barrel has killed more pounds of gophers than any one of the above. Shooting Aguila ammo now & real pleased with that ammo, close to dime size groups at 50 yards.
