What rifles are you planning to use in the 23/24 deer seaon?

My wife will use her 240 wby euromark or 25-06 backcountry rifles for whitetail hunting.

I've sighted in my 25 and 243 wssm model 70 featherweights to bring to the stand with me in texas.

I have a hunt planned in mizzu - taking my 7mm and 300 wby most likely 300 will win out if hunting big fields. She has a dial and shoots 180 grain scirocco's lights out.

My 240/257 wby's are always on standby as I might change my mind just wanna shoot somethings with my wsm's before I make any decision to part with them.

Only tag I have is a late November Coues Deer Muzzleloader tag. CVA Accura, 45 Cal with Hankins ignition breech plug and modules. Topped with a Trijicon 2-10x44. Shooting a 285 Powerbelt at 2285 FPS. 200 yard zero. Good to 350 with this. Killed my deer last year off the hillside below at 307 yards. Tennis anyone!

I am using pull down powder Bofors RP15, 70.7 grains. 215s are 0.015 off. I get the same performance with 79.2x N570. I prefer Peterson-long virgin brass, neck expanded through a 21st Century mandrel for hunting. ES/SD seems to be tighter.
Thank you sir! I have some N570 and will work my way up to that. Hope to post a photo of groups like that in the near future.

For years I've used my Ruger single shot 7X57. This year I've decided to use a new build, my 6.5-284 Norma using 118gr Hammer HHT's and H4350 powder. Lighter rifle and less recoil.

Did a little research regarding load data; I should be able to find that special node somewhere between 46-49 grains of H4350. As a backup I'm going to load some of my 118's with N160 as well. I've had good luck in the past using N160 accuracy wise.

I'm hoping to get load development completed on my new Browning X Bolt in 270 WSM in time to use it. I want to see how a 122gr Hammer HHT does at 3500+.

The Ruger #1 in 25-06 with 90gr Hammers is a known quantity and will either be backup or primary rifle depending upon the XBolt.

I'm also working on getting my lightweight Savage in 6.5 CM switched over from W748 to StaBall Match powder for better temp sensitivity. Gonna see of that Match powder can run the 85gr Hammers at 3400+ like the W748 does.

.
I use RL16 in my 270 wsm, 58.2 with 130 gr Bergers, Accubonds, and Ballistic Tips. Just did this this week, 58.7 gr with 129 LRX at 3178 fps. Not great but good enough for this season. RL16 would probably work even better with a 122 gr.
