I've gone to shooting my 28 as my supply of ammo is a little better in that gauge. IF it gets worse, I'll have to fire up the PW loader!!!!I have been having the same problem finding .410 in TX. Found several good options via www.ammoseek.com and had the shells shipped in. Several places offered free shipping if you bought multiple cases. Hope this helps.
Was that 28 the browning issue or one of the old winchesters. I have one of the browning sets they sold in the early 90s'410 shells are showing up here . I even saw several boxes of STS # 9's at one store. Still lots of 28 ga. available . To bad I sold my model 12, 28 ga. before covid.
that version is worth a nice truck in todays world!!!Original Winchester model 12 skeet with solid rib ( no cutt's or poly choke). It wasn't on the 20 ga. reciever like the later ones.
