What is the best weight bullet for the 7mm08 ?

Glad to hear you've had good results with the 120 BT. I've read how well they worked for others and found some available so will give them a try on deer this year.
I'm using W760 with a magnum primer but haven't got to chronograph it yet. What powder are you using LVJ76?

42.5gr of IMR-4064 and GM210M, just over 2,900 fps. Shoots cloverleafs out of my wife's rifle.

With 760 you can provably get to 3,150 fps or more.

My gun really liked 50 grains of w760 so I loaded another batch to chronograph. Nosler list's 52 as max but my groups opened up after 50. I'm guessing I should be right about 3000 or slightly better with my 22" barrel.

I have a Sako model 85 in 7mm-08 that wouldn't shoot well at all with any of 5 factory ammo that I tried until I tried the Hornady factory loaded Hornady Precision Hunter 7mm-08 Remington 150gr ELD-X. It shoots better than 1/2" @ 100 yards and is deadly on whitetail.
