We did that but with .223 rifles, raggedy FMJ ammo and steel targets at crazy ranges. Side by side on benches, calling out different targets (at varying ranges) with specific shot placements. "350 yd target left shoulder". Some of the best times with a gun ever.Shooting pop cans at 500+ yds with 6 or 7 other guys. If you lay them down they're a about 1/2 moa target. I probably learned more doing that in a short amount of time than anything I've done. The peer pressure brought my reloading, wind calls, shooting to a new level.
Buy once cry once....rightGraduating into custom rifles and quality reloading equipment. Wish I would have done that many years ago because it would have saved me a bunch of money.
