The older I get the more it's about places and hunting, than the actual animals. There are definitely some dream animals on my list, but I doubt I'll get them all, so I focus on the experience. I'm currently focused on my poor man's slam (the five species of NA deer). Being from Oklahoma getting the first 4 is logistically and financially doable. Sitka blacktail will require a little more, but definitely doable and probably combine it with black bear and some halibut/salmon fishing. Outside of that, the list includes a canoe pack in hunt in the boundary waters in Minnesota. A pack in hunt in the Adirondacks. Wilderness hunts in BC and Alaska, DIY drop camps or float trips, etc., etc....
