What bullet for hogs 6.5 Grendel?

Hammer bullets sweet spot for hogs in my experience is 92-117gr. 85's can be underwhelming at distance. 120's and up are fine under 200 yards. But the best velocity and take down has been 92-117. Especially with the Absolutes.

That's some great advice. Thanks for sharing.

Ed is probably the only guy I know that kills more stuff with the Grendel than I do.
That fella puts down some hogs. I have to pull a bunch of all nighters when I'm done to try and catch up.
Guess that settles it also. Butter bean and I were back and forth on which we thought would be faster I thought the 97 was gonna be the king of 6.5 grendel

Yes, Ed is definitely the authority on killing hogs on this site.

If your goal is to just shoot them yes. But if you are paying per pig which some hints are or after a trophy that $70 is a small price difference. Like stated if you are paying $200 a hog and you hit the shield or shoulder with your target bullet and it runs off now you paid $200 for the hog you didn't get and $25 for bullets that didn't get the job done.
All depends what type of hunting your doing. I shoot a lot of running hogs. So staying off shoulder is not always an option.
Plus To be honest we are in an expensive sport no doubt. You probably don't mind drinking beers at the bar for $3-5 a pop but worried about a 2-3 dollar bullet. It's all how you look at it
Triple yikes!!! You not only think $70 for 20 rounds is OK, you also pay $200 per hog to help rid a farmer of their pests. You obviously have a lot of money to burn. I don't pay to rid a farmer of his hogs, I don't buy over priced ammo, and I don't go to bars to drink $5 beer. You must really like wasting money.

I didn't say I pay to shoot hogs. But take a quick search and that is very common.
Second the ammo is the very least of the cost of hunting. This man is clearly traveling so that less than a tank of gas in a truck. You ha r indeed wasted more than 70 in gas probably this year with trips that are not needed. But I don't think you like wasting money.
I agree we should t ha e to pay to help out. But bottom line is the same guys that want everything for free and shoot cheap ammo are very often the same guys that if they make a mistake. Say shooting a center pivot or small calf instead of a hog. Those same folks are the reason they feel the need to charge.
Well that and it has become so popular why not find that extra form of Revenue.
If I wanted to insult you about not wanting to spend money I could
. But we each have our passions and mine is fine firearms and ammo.
I'm sure you do list of things myself and others would consider pretty dumb with your money. Best part is it's your money not mine.
That's drives us all and the economy.

My mistake. Thought you said you pay $200 per hog. Apologies. A penny wise, a dollar foolish as the adage says. Also, you can't take it with you when you die and your kids will just spend it on things they want. Take your pick. LOL

Ya that's all I was getting at. Seems lots of places charge per pig including a place in Florida I went years ago. People that only wanna shoot one or two trophies it makes sense to some degree.
Those people are who I was recommending that ammo to. You draw blood you pay. So like every paying hunt. Saving $.60 on a bullet could cost you your trophy. Same with elk and any other hunt. To some a $150 pig is a lot of money and would stick to lose it over being cheap on bullets.
For the record I'm biased as I have a cousin who is so so so cheap it happens all the time to him and he doesn't realize being so cheap is what's really costing him.
