What barrel length with a suppressor

I shoot full power ammo almost exclusively and with a good can it's ear safe and doesn't spook game.

I had someone tell me that I'd need to make sure what ever my load was that there was no flash (powder not burning 100% in barrel) or it would wear out the suppressor in 1000 rounds or so. I think he meant the first couple baffles.

Any truth to that?

Nope shoot your normal load and your fine. I have 10 suppressors and that is not a problem.
