I love my .243 Vanguard. If it's a series 2 model (assume it is since its new) I would consider it. I wouldn't buy the series 1 models.

Seeing as the original post was 10 years ago I suspect it was a series 1 Vanguard.

I own several of these, and they all shoot sub-MOA with factory ammo. Other than stock material, trigger design and finish (spun vs bead blasted) the S1 and S2 rifles are the same rifle. No reason not to buy one if you find one you like.

best thing about the vanguard is if you purchase a youth model, it also comes with an adult stock in the same box, 2 guns for the price of one.
