Weatherby: Differences in Models

Hey thats cool. I have only owned one Remington in my life, an 870. My dad was a fanatical pre 64 Winchester guy... My favorite rifles are actually the older Sakos (pre model 75).
Never been a fan of Winchester's bolt-action rifles, but love the old lever guns. I have never owned a Sako, but I have heard great things about the older ones being super high quality. I have shot many Steyr rifles, including an older model 69 PII-K .308 with the set-triggers, and it was as accurate as any rifle I've ever shot.

morning, mud is right, Remington did make a run of weatherby calibers.
I was one who did not take advantage of the production run. very
bad mistake on my part. I am right now building a 257wbee on a Remington mag. action. #6 contour hart barrel, trued, crowned, timmey trigger, cercoted
sniper gray, H&S sniper stock. more goodies. Love for weatherby.

THK. U
Remington still makes certain models in .257 Weatherby and .300 Weatherby Mag, because they were so popular and such quick sellers when they were released as a special run.

I too, missed-out on the special run of Remington rifles at the time. When I bought my inAccumark, they had just released the 700 LSS in .257 Wby, and I should have bought one of those instead of the Weatherby Accumark. I would have been WAY ahead money-wise, and probably would still have it to this day, instead of having to scrap the Accumark due to manufacturing defects that Weatherby refused to fix.

I have been debating strongly on a new CDL SF in .257 Wby just so I can re-utilize all my factory .257 Wby ammo and brass, dies, etc... But I have to sell a few project trucks and offroad parts first. Anyone curious to know what all trucks and parts I have, shoot me a PM and we'll talk.

I've always wanted a Steyr but just never got one. I think i will get one. My most accurate rifle is a Sako action, Bartlien, McMillan EDGE in 240 Wby. 85gr Sierra HP and R26 @ 3650...
