Well I know why it's smoky again here now! Can't blame Canada this time. Nothing more pucker factor than high winds, extreme drought, and the smell of fire constantly in the air. Made the news the other day with one we fought locally.

Fire is scary. We do a lot of burns here in the Midwest. A wind change that wasn't forecasted can be devastating.
Always glad when it is over and went fine.

The Fish Creek and Pack Trail fires really blew up yesterday! From 90 miles away at sunset last night I could see the smoke plume going up from the fire! Not a pretty sight! We are afraid it went north across the highway yesterday, prompting that evacuation notice. If it gets going to the north, there is nothing to stop it from getting to Yellowstone! And Pack Trail grew from 3,500 acres to 11,881 acres yesterday! Very worrisome. No update on Inciweb yet today.

This fire will ruin a lot of hunts…..some being non-residents that may never get another chance to hunt Wyoming! memtb
