Thank you for the information I'm hoping to stay away from the hard the flow powders. I'm not sure how my V4 would handle the long kernels.
I have a v4 it has no problem with n565/n570Thank you for the information I'm hoping to stay away from the hard the flow powders. I'm not sure how my V4 would handle the long kernels.
N165 and N560 work well in the 6 .5 PRC , N165 burns cool because it is single based N560 will get you max vel , but is double based . N560 and rl26 loads about neck and neck in the 6.5 PRC . I have great results with both powders.I use n165 with eldm 123's and 130's. I can stack 20 shot groups in an inch in my 6.5prc. No fliers. And it's temp stable. Kernal size reminds me of 4831sc.
Oh and you can actually buy it.
I just learnt a thing! Thanks.N165 and N560 work well in the 6 .5 PRC , N165 burns cool because it is single based N560 will get you max vel , but is double based . N560 and rl26 loads about neck and neck in the 6.5 PRC . I have great results with both powders.
New Hodgdon StaBall 6.5 for the .243 Win is hard to beat speed wise!!!N550 will be the fastest powder in everything from 243win to 3006. More than that you need to go up.
The only thing faster will be the other somewhat unstable double base medium kernel powder - RL17.
What cartridges did you find the RL 17 to be unstable?N550 will be the fastest powder in everything from 243win to 3006. More than that you need to go up.
