That's a nice looking rifle, I keep wanting a 7 Mega, or a 338 something, I just need to commit to it!

I think I want to build a 6.5 Max, but with Preferred Barrels no longer chambering for the Sherman cartridges, I am not sure who to use to build me a Tikka prefit.

Just finished mine up. It's funny I bought several custom action so I could do pre-fits and then my first pre-fit was Preferred Barrel blanks had nothing but trouble with it. I posted videos here on LRH. And to their credit, They did make it right and refunded my money, but I'll just go back to buying Brux or Bartlein , benchmark or Krieger barrels and have them cut for the action.

That sucks that you had a problem. I have been using PPB barrels since they were Virgin Valley and only making them for Encores and Contenders. Between Virgin Valley, MGM, and PBB, I have over a dozen and I have only had an issue with one (a 6.5 TCU Contender barrel that was not throated correctly). They took care of it quickly. All of them have been shooters too.
Thanks again for the heads up on the other builders as well! I am starting the process of moving down in number of rifles, but up in quality, so a couple more customs are in my future.
