Unit 41 (AZ) Deer Tag!

Well, I haven't been drawn in 3 years, and hadn't put in for a couple before that, but i finally got drawn again for a deer tag here in AZ. Unit 41 starts a mere 30 minutes from my house, but our primary hunting grounds are about an hour away. We will have a camp of about 8 guys or so, 4 of us with tags. I seriously cannot wait, my father in law and i put in on one tag, and my two buddies on another.


will be shooting my browning .270 win, with leupold rifleman optics, nothing special caliber wise, but the gun was purchased the day i was born by my pops! Brought me lots of luck!!

congrats on the tag, I would guess that area must be desert mule deer country?

yep exactly JLW, my one deer from there is a 5x4, mounted in 1/4 sneak at my grandpa's cabin in flagstaff az. looked real great up there, until he shot his 6x elk later that year and dwarfed my poor deer! hahaha
