I have heard they are harder to seat than other primers but by using your press it should have been hard enough to fully seat.I have been having problems with the Ginex SRP seating fully in my brass. I thought my hand primer was wearing out. So I contacted RCBS and they sent me all new parts to rebuild it. It helped but they still are not seating fully. I even tried to use my seater on my RCBS Rockchucker to see if they would seat but they are still not seating fully. They are proud of the face. But they will fire. Till I figure these out they will not be used in my AR15.
Also they are the regular SRP not the mag ones.
They are harder to seat but you can also try case lube to assist them.Something else that helps is to use a primer pocket uniformer, I had the same issue with ginex lrp, once I reamed them no more issue, I still use the ram to set them as well. They're different and need to be handled that way
NO, I have just put a very thin coat of case lube on my finger and run around the outside of the primer cap. Dont get any on the firesideIn the primer pocket? Wouldn't that cause issues? Just asking
if you are using range pickup make sure you remove all of the crimp. i cut mine and check with pin gauge if there is any crimp left you will have problems with Ginex primers.I have been having problems with the Ginex SRP seating fully in my brass.
