Undermining Hammer?

First I want to defend Hammer from my perspective, they (particularly Steve) have always been extremely helpful and always respond quickly. I have zero complaints with them and allot of admiration for thinking out side the box. Recently I ordered some 44 cal pills for my Ruger 77/44 rifle, after placing the order I started over thinking it. I called Steve, he called me back within 30 minutes. We discussed the application and felt I had ordered the correct bullet. He was right, they performed on paper great in a gun that is tricky. Looking forward to trying them on Hogs in a month or two when it warms up.

Regarding changing opinions from bad experiences, I fully understand that. As an example, back in the 70's I had a water filled bullet trap we tested allot of different bullets. One brand (brand A, not mentioning names) never held together, every single one of them blew up. My favorite brand (brand B) at the time never failed to mushroom near perfectly. To this day, I refuse to hunt with brand A, still use them in competition allot. There is a 3rd brand from those days that I never got to shoot to the level of accuracy I wanted, to this day I don't bother trying them

I have one buddy that uses nothing but brand A and is very successful. He calls me hard headed and stubborn, yup that's me. Just not willing to take the chance on game.

Another example is with my first rail gun, we tested just about every brand and version of primers. One brand never performed up to par for me. The only packs of primers from that manufacture in my cabinet are left overs from the 80's. I hear all the time about people using them successfully, not wasting my time.

Since then, I have learned you can make almost any product work well with the right combination, I just have a hard time letting go.

I personally don't like when people bad mouth a product. Its ok to share results, good or bad, but there is noting gained by attacking a manufacture. All manufactures strive to make good products, they don't stay in business for long if they don't.
