Undermining Hammer?

Keep in mind, I did state the following in the OP and it does include both sides of "the argument".

It creates divisiveness and I do think at a point, after people are mistreated on both sides, there is some personal offenses taken and perhaps some do develop a bit of a grudge, which is unfortunate. Perhaps at that point, once tempers flair, it's just assumed people are out for each other?

I do think that once an impression has been made of a certain individual, it's hard to shake it. This goes for everyone, on any side of all this. This is likely a root of a lot of the misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions on the intents of one another. Is it possible that some have simply made a bad impression on others and are now misunderstood and misrepresented? Again, this goes for everyone on either side of the coin.

I think it's hard not to view some of the posts floating around the internet as attempts to undermine Hammer Bullets, as both a product and a company. Even in this thread there are post alluding to integrity/morality issues with the company. It's hard not see those as attempts to undermine Hammer Bullets as a company. There are a lot of legitimate concerns and observations about how some bullets have/do perform. Those are all valid and worth discussing. There are a lot of comments that come off as more of a personal attack though.

This is really a case of perspective dictating perception. There are posts in this thread that I perceive as veiled attempts to undermine Hammer Bullets as a product and as a company. That doesn't mean that the poster intended it to come off that way, that's just how I read it from my perspective. It's one of those times where 2 things can be true depending on perspective.

It's not infrequent that a proposed counterpoint actually misses the original point. One might think that asking another for their input and opinion is elevating them...until they offer it and it then gets reduced to parsing out technicalities for the sake of argument. Not unlike my experience with the Yale guys.

I agree. It really is all about perception and perspective, which can be wrong, or at least formed incorrectly. It's from misinterpretation or subjective bias on the subject. Again, this happens on all sides of the subject in question.

Its a discussion. Of course there will be counterpoints in a discussion. This is how we talk things out. I think perhaps you read too far into it? It's not that deep.

The list might be lengthy-- i still have some "oil filled" hh's, and maybe some non oil filled ones---- also have some ahh's that I could never get to group well, then I have a few batches of black hht's too---- just wondering which ones might perform to the advertised min expansion velocities ?

The main issue I'm having is if things have changed- I'm not sure what I've got anymore

I'd ask @fordy what he may have as far as a list for you on this. Maybe he could make a new thread talking about which ones he's had work really well vs others he's had concerns with?

For some people, biases, perceptions, and perspectives are hard to overcome despite how compelling the new pieces of evidence are because they have been ingrained in one's beliefs for so long, and reprogramming that mindset can be a challenge. Resistance to change is a barrier and not an easy thing to overcome. I hope the list will help resolve some, if not all, of these concerns, as addressed below.

I am NOT going to undermine the Hammer brand, at least they are willing to get in the trenches with us like being a member on this forum and share their opinions and views. We can choose to like or dislike their comments just like any other member here, but at least they are one of us…on our level. Can you say that about any other big name company? Not many if any. Rant over.
