It's all good man, I know that could have come off as sarcastic, but that wasn't my intention. I was just stating that I do agree that all hunts won't be over 300 yards, and in most parts of the country, this is true...Very true here in Alabama, not many places you're going to get a shot more than 300 yards without shooting hilltop to hilltop, or from a high-point on a power line. I was also making the statement that this is a long range forum, and not a generic hunting forum, because alot of folks forget. I have had this happen to myself, as well.

6.5 creedmoor will work fine on elk. Put it out where you need it and it will work fine out to ranges farther than most shoot imo, even on elk.
