My wife was born and raised well until 12 years old in Monroe. In and out of there alot in the 70's. Most folks don't know but Delta Airlines began in Monroe. Hadn't been back since 88' or 89', place hadn't changed much.

I finally got a comparison pic for you guys so you can get a feel for what the black powder cartridge stuff look like against some familiar cases.

From left to right. 270 WSM and a 140 gr Berger. 300 Weatherby and a 185 Berger. 40-65 and a 425 gr paper patch. 40-65 with a 400 gr micro mini groove.

The 300 WBY looks bad with a Berger in it but that is mag length and it likes it so whatda do. 40-65 is a 45-70 straight tapered down to 40 cal.

Thanks for the pics. Nice comparison. I have a 270wsm, and a 300wby. Yes the 300wby looks weird, but, if the shoe fits......
