I had a "climate change" activist type person try to convince a group of people I was around at work with today that this snow in Florida is because the world is getting hotter. Said it melts the ice and makes it migrate to other non natural places. Some dumb logic that got laughed off being its been hotter than
2 hells the past several years and mild winters here at home and no snow. Of course they couldn't explain that or show any facts. Just cry climate change/global warming talking points. Anyways it was cool to see…it's the second time in my life that we've had a lil snow, last was in 1989 when I was only 5 years old.

I remember that snow of 1989. I was stationed with a guy from Fl. It was all he could talk about. And the first time he ever saw snow was at Ft Knox Ky. He was just in awe. lol Me being from Pa thought the guy was nuts.

Yep….a lotta folks aren't very well prepared!

When I was in my 20's, I road my motorcycle (1973 Honda XL 250) almost everyday to work.

I rode in upper teens once, and in the low 20's numerous times! My most eventful ride was , riding about 15 miles home after working the 3 to 11 shift at the paper mill…..we had an ice storm that evening!

If you've never ridden a motorcycle on 15 or so miles of ice covered roads…….ya just haven't lived! Having a light bike, and doing lots of off road riding and some racing, helped me survive the ride! Though, I did go down twice on corners!

On the subject of winter clothing……I had really good gear for riding in the cold! memtb

I thought I was the only one dumb enough to have done this. I was on a Honda V 65 Magna, 1100 cc. It was the only ride I had. No car or truck. I used to ride this to work from Gettysburg Pa to Rockville Md. Long cold rides for sure. But I would wear wet weather gear. It was the best for breaking the wind. I could never find anything to keep my fingers warm though. Besides laying them on the engine while riding. Now they have heated hand grips. I have a pair on my 4 wheeler. Man where were they in the 80s ? lol
