Traveling intyerstate with 50 Cal

No fun. Its just a Buick station wagon. My pastor and I are just making a quick 4k miles in 5 days. Not sure he really wanted to go but I think he was thinking that I was to old to make the trip solo.....LOL Play the "old man" card every now and then when I need something....

I will be heading to Montanna to pick up a McMillan TAC50 and transporting it back to texas thru several states. NM, CO, WY. Only CO is of concern to me because of its changing politics.
I will be traveling in a station wagon...has no trunk...!!! I will be carruing powder, primers, brass, loaded ammo and the UNLOADED gun. Will any of that be a problem. I cant tell from reading all the online sources.

CA has laws against the 50 cal, do any other states prohibit the 50 Cal or its ammunition?
About the only thing missing Jim since you have the route, description of the car....is license plate number...and dates you arrive in Montana! But on a more serious note: Safe travels!

Well I could be wrong, it's been awhile since I kept up with Denver's gun laws. I just did a search and it seems 50 Cals are okay. A call to the local agency might clear it up. Or yeah divert travel away from Denver. Call me paranoid but I generally stay our of left leaning cities these days. At least whenever possible.
Looking down from Canada....he should be fine...cause all those states and cities...are on my RIGHT!🤣

I am not worried. My old boss, the CIA, knows where I am every minuite of every day. I am sure they read this......spooky....you may want to stop posting to me.

I think you might want to check Denver's gun laws. I hear they can be as convoluted as California.
Denver's gun laws are worse than California.
I'd find a way around Denver. However,
I drive through Denver every year on my way to SD & Wy, fully loaded for my hunting trip.
I keep my bolts in a separate box and they are under lock & key, same thing with my ammo.
I've never had any trouble. But I do realize I'm rolling the dice.
One things for sure, I AM obeying the speed laws.
Wishing you a safe and uneventful trip.
