CT scopes are made by Japan Optics Ltd or (JOL)

However it's true that low makes the Tract Toric.

From what I understand they took over Nikons Rifle scope facility in the Philippines. I don't care for any of the newly released CT scopes but the 2,3, and 5 series were very good and reasonably priced.

Agreed, esp. when you can no longer get the 2s, 3s, and 5s. I was lucky enough to get a couple of 2s from Midway for $299, regularly $599.
