Another thing, if you do not shoot him this year, are you going to look at him next year and wonder if you should leave him and see how much bigger he gets over the next several years? He may be near his growth potential now, or he could keep growing for the next three or four years. How long can YOU hold out?

You are correct.
Another thought is that,
We do have 2 nice 5x5's That scored 162 and 169.7. The 7x7 is probably 150 and maybe change. Next year he should easily go high 180's to 190's.
In my second post of pics the top 5.
Is a narrow 5x5 The 2 pic's on the game camera is the same buck 1 year ago tell me that's not 50 more inches in 1 year..
So we may be optimistic and then again when season is open and have a gun in hand Who Know's?????

If I had COMPLETE control, let him go another year Sounds like a miracle he survived this long with all the possible outside variables. Since he is pretty darn good, I would personally try to kill him this year. The odds get longer that he survives another year and then you have nothing to show for your efforts.

Yep, a 31/2-year-old buck can do a lot of growing in one good year. You seem the have the genes and food to grow them up big. If he has lived this long, chances are that he is really smart. He may hide during the season and only come out at night. But like I said earlier, I would probably have to shoot him because he is bigger right now than any deer I have ever seen alive. And I live in the Texas Hill Country where there is a deer under every oak tree. And we have a lot of oak trees.

If it's PA you should take him, it's doubtful that he'll make it with all that visibility.

Problem is these pics are taken less than 100yds from a gravel road.

next year he could add 30 to 50 inches so most of the dilemma is he's at 150 now
