Thoughts on New Federal 7mm Back Country

Doesn't have to compete with wal mart 7 mag, has to compete with on the shelf 7 prc and 28 nosler. Nobody I know is buying a 7 bc for a primary rifle, all are getting one to replace their kimber ascent/barret fieldcraft type rifles. All will use them for supressor hosts on rifles setup for the 3 to 600 yard type hunting (goats, sheep, and other alpine animals). Ammo appears to be near 3 bucks a round, these days that's not horrible. It may not become the standard but it's far from doa.
A .270 or 7mm Remington plus a few others will meet your requirements and they are available in gun stores, have oodles of factory ammo available and world wide usage eatablished.

THE most important thing is accuracy!
All the velocity hype means nothing if the cartridge can't deliver precision.
Then there is the fact that the 1 thing to try and get precision ( reloading)is a mess at best.
The squirrels will go for the nuts in front of them. This will pass into oblivion and the next nut will be placed in front of the squirrels.
Amazes me how the masses are still squirrels

the federal ammo is accurate, the rifle will tell the tail. imo the savage will be so so but the Seekins will be accurate as heck
